The Home Front is a 1943 Private Snafu short directed by Frank Tashlin.

Pvt. Snafu, on the frontlines in the dead of winter, complains that his family and girlfriend are probably living a comfortable life back home (with his father shooting pool, his mother playing bridge, his grandpa going to a strip club, and his girlfriend cheating on him). The Technical Fairy, however, shows him what they're actually doing: his father is building tanks, his mother is planting a victory garden (with the help of a talking cat and horse), his grandpa is building ships in a shipyard, and his girlfriend has joined the Women's Army Corps (WAC).

Omitted from some prints was the narrator's line "it's so cold, it would freeze the nuts off a jeep."[1]
