Hugo The Abominable Snowman is a giant snowman who appeared in "The Abominable Snow Rabbit" and "Spaced Out Bunny".

Hugo's mannerisms are based on that of Lennie Small from the John Steinbeck novel Of Mice and Men.

About Hugo[]

Hugo is a large, snow-white creature that is said to be an abominable snowman. Despite his size, he is actually quite nice but somewhat gullible and fallible if not stupid. He has a habit for calling his pets George, and has attempted to make Bugs his pet on two occasion. He wasn't known originally as Hugo, but was called so during his second appearance. In both of his appearances he was voiced by Mel Blanc. It was revealed in "The Abominable Snow Rabbit" that he is, in fact, a real snowman, as he melted in the hot sun. He also claims to be the "best frizbee-disc-thrower on his block."

Appearances[]

Hugo first appeared in "The Abominable Snow Rabbit". In that episode, Bugs and Daffy went to the Himalayan mountains, only to run into Hugo. Later he appreared in "Spaced Out Bunny" were he was captured by Marvin and brought to Mars, who had attempted to give Bugs to him as his pet. He also appeared in "Yodel Recall" from The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries where at first, he was the one who kidnapped the Von Trumps until Granny learns they faked the kidnapping to return to the limelight and keep the Bank of Salsburg. Once the Von Trumps have been exposed, Hugo keeps them in his cave. He appeared again in "Furgo" in a restaurant at Minnesota. Hugo appeared in the direct-to-video film Tweety's High-Flying Adventure, this time voiced by Frank Welker. In this appearance, his fur is recolored olive green and his nose is maroon-colored.

He made a cameo in the Animaniacs segment "H.M.S. Yakko", and appeared in The Looney Tunes Show, where he encountered Taz, Sylvester, and Tweety and he promptly told them to escape because the hunter would get them. Most recently, he made a cameo in the Looney Tunes Cartoons short "Happy Birthday Bugs Bunny!"
