Description

Here it is; the full animated dream sequence from the classic 1948 Warner Bros. musical comedy, "Two Guys From Texas." Dennis Morgan plays Steve Carroll, with Jack Carson as his friendly rival Danny Foster. This sequence involves a dream Dan tells his psychologist, directed by Friz Freleng, one of the greatest directors at Warner Bros. Animation. Bugs Bunny gives some advice to him, which turns out to "fight fire with fire," but of course it doesn't work well.

This is the FULL version of the sequence, uncut; when this was shown on "Toonheads: the Lost Cartoons" in 2000, some scenes were cut for timing, including a bit of footage of Jack playing music for his flock (with a nice shot of his toe tapping to the beat), Dennis suiting up in his wolf disguise and then setting up to grab the sheeps' attention, some more footage of Dennis's "Every Day I Love You Just a Little Bit More" song, and the ending where a fat Native American female chases away Jack in HIS wolf costume.
