Censorship[]
- When Cartoon Network aired this short as part of their installment show, Late-Night Black and White, the second half was severely edited to remove three scenes containing outdated African-American stereotypes and blackface:[2]
- The boy starting a "Sambo Jazz Band" wind-up toy.
- A baby doll falling into a bucket of coal and emerging in blackface to say, "Mammy!" to which a nearby Mammy doll responds, "Sonny boy!"
- The dolls from "Red-Headed Baby" singing a chorus of the title song.
Notes[]
- This cartoon entered the public domain in the United States in 1962, as United Artists failed to renew the copyright in time.

- This short reuses animation from "Red-Headed Baby".
- This cartoon was shown in theatres with Lawyer Man during its original release.
