Attack of the Drones is a 2004 Looney Tunes short directed by Rich Moore.
Title[]
The title is a play on the 2002 film Attack of the Clones.
Plot[]
Space monsters destroy a space fleet and then head towards earth. Duck Dodgers holds a meeting to decide what to do. Duck goes to a photocopy machine to produce one hundred robot copies, the drones, of himself. Duck sends the drones against the monsters, and the drones defeat them.
The drones then return to earth and cause havoc and destruction. Duck is ordered by a Yoda-like Elmer Fudd to defeat the drones. After a fight where Duck realizes that the drones behave just like him, he uses their greed and vanity to lure them to a shed where they are tricked with money and awards into falling into a grinder. When he thinks he has destroyed all hundred copies, he sees that the drones have been copying themselves, and the planet is overrun by drones.

- It was planned to be released theatrically with New York Minute, but was withdrawn because of the failure of Looney Tunes Back in Action.
- Unlike the previous Duck Dodgers cartoons, both Porky Pig's character Eager Young Space Cadet and Marvin the Martian's character Commander X2 are notably absent in this short.
- This is the first and so far only time in a Looney Tunes short that Daffy Duck was voiced by Jeff Bennett. Bennett had previously voiced Daffy in a commercial for Sprint and would later voice him in the album A Looney Tunes Sing-A-Long Christmas two years later.
- The shorts sometimes air on Teletoon in Canada as well as Boomerang in Italy.
- Scenes from this short parody The Phantom Menace and The Fifth Element.
- Coincidentally, Duck Dodgers and Star Wars: Clone Wars were both released from 2003 to 2005.
- Dr. Zoidberg from Futurama, The Great Gazoo from The Flintstones, Terl from Battlefield Earth, a Star Trek Klingon, an Instant Martian, and a Stitch lookalike make cameo appearances.
- Although Elmer Fudd does not appear in this short, the Yoda-like character that appears at the beginning bears a striking resemblance to him.
- An early version on a demo reel for Rough Draft Burbank shows that instead of the pumpkin-headed Yoda lookalike, Yoda himself from Star Wars was to be Duck Dodgers' superior.
- On December 31, 2023 this short aired for the first time on Boomerang.
