Bosko's Dizzy Date, also known as Bosko and Honey, is a 1932 Looney Tunes short directed by Hugh Harman.
Plot[]
Honey is a music teacher; her pupil is a kitten who hates the violin. No matter how much Honey tries, the kitten continues to play the violin terribly. She calls Bosko, who happens to be asleep. Bosko's dog Bruno attempts to wake him, only to fail. He answers the phone himself by knocking it down and answering it with a receiver. Honey asks Bruno to wake Bosko, so he attempts to do it again. He gets help from the phone, using it as a whistle, and knocks the receiver down to the ground. Bosko finally wakes and tells Honey that he'll be over there as soon as he can. When he arrives, he and Honey start to sing and dance and play music. The kitten responds to this by dumping bathwater into Bosko's saxophone. Despite this Bosko continues to play even though bubble water is emerging from the bell. Honey dances right on the soap bubbles, descending from her balcony to the ground as she pops. Bosko and Honey decide to go for a bicycle ride, forgetting the kitten in the process.

- This short was issued under two names. It can be assumed that "Bosko and Honey" was a working title that somehow made it to print as well as the "Bosko's Dizzy Date" title.
- "Bosko's Dizzy Date" was ultimately the film released; "Bosko and Honey" was left unreleased.
- Despite the two being the same short film with very few differences, "Bosko and Honey" fell into the public domain, but not "Bosko's Dizzy Date".
- This cartoon was shown in theaters with I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang during its original release.
Differences between prints[]
- In "Bosko's Dizzy Date", the scene of Bosko’s phone trying to wake him up is cut, and Bosko's phone conversation with Honey is shortened.
- In "Bosko's Dizzy Date", a treadmill gag is added to Bosko and Bruno's bike ride.
- In "Bosko and Honey", after Honey sings on the balcony and Wilbur imitates her, Wilber immediately grabs the tub of wash and dumps it onto Bosko. In "Bosko's Dizzy Date", however, instead of Wilber immediately dumping the water onto Bosko we instead cut to a scene of Bosko dancing. After his dance, the scene of Honey and Wilber is repeated, only this time Wilber does indeed grab the tub of wash and dump it on Bosko.
- When Bosko is drenched by Wilber in "Bosko and Honey", Bosko blows bubbles out of his sax and Honey uses them to step down to the ground. In "Bosko's Dizzy Date" however, the sequence is replaced by a scene of Bosko swimming on the walkway.
- In "Bosko's Dizzy Date", Bruno’s business with the tree is cut completely.
- In "Bosko's Dizzy Date", the chicken gag is added to Bosko and Honey’s bike ride.
- In "Bosko's Dizzy Date", the scene of Bosko and Honey going into the barn and Honey emerging on a cow replaces the scene of Bosko and Honey on the log from "Bosko's Holiday", though some of the animation looks the same.
