Notes[]

  • This is the first cartoon to use "Whistle and Blow Your Blues Away" as the opening song.
  • As of 2023, this is the earliest copyrighted cartoon to not be released at all on VHS, DVD, or on streaming services.
  • Near the end of the short, Bosko encounters threats associated with "Notre Dame", including "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" (as in the Victor Hugo character) and "the Four Horsemen" (four members of the football squad of Notre Dame University in Indiana, most notably winning the 1924 college championship under coach Knute Rockne).
