Elliot Sampson is a recurring character in New Looney Tunes. He was voiced by Carlos Alazraqui.

Bio[]

Elliot works many jobs, ranging from scout leader and police officer to store manager and doctor. Nonetheless, each of his appearances depict him as an authoritarian figure with some form of leadership, and in most episodes, he is shown to be the boss of characters such as Porky Pig, Horace the Horse (whom the former is paired up with on some occasions), or Claudette Dupri. He also speaks with a Southern accent.

Physical Appearance[]

Elliot is a short, orange and cream-colored bobcat with a rhombus/kite-shaped face, brown stripes and a dark orange mustache. He also wears different outfits depending on the job he has, although he has at least three outfits that appear more frequently than others.

In his first few appearances and the episode "Lake, Rattle and Roll", Elliot wears a typical scout leader uniform consisting of a tan cargo shirt with a thick gold line on his left sleeve and a symbol with two blue lines in-between yellow lines on the left of his shirt, a dark green hat with a long brim and a golden yellow stripe, a red and yellow bandanna around his neck, green pants, a dark green belt with a yellow buckle, beige socks, and black shoes.

Along with this outfit, Elliot was also wearing a brown coat in "Quiet the Undertaking" and "A Duck in the Aquarium." However, his bandanna and yellow and blue symbol were absent in the former and the gold line on his left sleeve was replaced by a gold badge.

He also wore an outfit with similar colors in "Top Bugs", "OctoPepe", and "The Pepe Who Came In from the Cold", but now he has Navy-esque symbols on his shirt and the gold badge from his sleeve is removed.

In the second season episodes "A Duck in the Penthouse" and "Porky the Disorderly", he has a tuft of black hair, which disappeared after the latter episode.

Starting with "Porky's Duck-Livery Service", he does not appear to be wearing a hat as often, although he still wears one on some occasions. As of "Loon-Raker", he no longer wears one in any of his later appearances, with the exception of "Lake, Rattle and Roll".

In episodes where he is a police officer, such as "Point Beak" and "The Towering Hamsterno", Elliot wears a white polo shirt with a black tie, blue pants, a navy blue belt with a gold buckle and a gold badge, and black shoes.

In the episodes "Coyote Under Construction", "Substitute Porky", "Down Horace-Scope", and "The Wrong Stuff", Elliot wears a similar outfit to his police one, except his shirt is now blue, his tie is red, and he doesn't have the gold badge on his belt, except in "Down-Horace Scope". His pants, belt, and shoes retain the same colors, though. He previously wore this outfit in the first season episode "Porky's Duck-Livery Service", except his shirt was a shade of periwinkle. He had also worn this outfit in the second season episode, "Copy Quack", albeit with a pink shirt instead of a blue one. His tie is also black in this episode.

Notes[]

  • Elliot wasn't referred to by name until the third season episode, "OctoPepe". Until then, his name was only revealed during the credits for all his episodes. Furthermore, the only two episodes in which his name is spoken are the aforementioned episode and "The Wrong Stuff".
    • On another note, his last name was almost mentioned by Porky Pig in "Copy Quack", making it the only episode in which his last name is mentioned onscreen in some way.
  • The credits for some of the episodes he appeared in refer to him as Elliot Sampson Bobcat.
