Cornelius Neal "Corny" Cole III (October 12, 1930 - August 8, 2011) was an American animator.

Cole worked at Warner Bros. in the early 1960s. He is known for his work on Flesh Gordon (1974), The Thief and the Cobbler (1993) and The Chipmunk Adventure (1987).

Notes

  • After working in the animation field for several years, he taught animation as art and figure drawing at CalArts from 1992-2011.
  • With Frank Braxton, who was the first black animator, he began an animation program near Watts for high school students in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Frank, Along with Corny Cole, Don Jurwich, Bob Goe, Lee Mishkin, and Dave Brain, with the help of others in the industry, he taught Animation to Black and Hispanic high school students and the ways to help them get jobs in the industry.
  • He was born in the city of Los Angeles and died in neighboring Los Angeles County city Santa Clarita.
