Bedtime for Sniffles is a 1940 Merrie Melodies cartoon directed by Chuck Jones.

Plot

In his little sardine can house, Sniffles tries to stay awake and wait up to see Santa on Christmas Eve. Sniffles is sweeping up and singing "Jingle Bells" while he waits for Santa. In just an hour, Santa will be here. He makes a cup of Haxwell Mouse Coffee and reads Good Mousekeeping magazine while he waits, only to have it all go to waste as he falls asleep anyway.

Notes

  • The Blue Ribbon reissue uses the 1945-55 opening MM cue, then proceeds to audio holding the original film.
  • While the USA Turner dubbed version replaces the original 1939-1941 Merrie Melodies ending music cue with the 1941-1955 Merrie Melodies ending music cue, the EU Turner dubbed version retains the original ending music cue.
