1943 was one of the golden years of Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies.

  • After Puss n' Booty, no more Looney Tunes shorts were produced in black and white. All Looney Tunes shorts from then until August 1, 1948 were part of the Associated Artists Productions library.
  • Starting with Falling Hare, the WB shield debuts to the finalized one used until 1964. The 1947-53 would use a different one but when the backgrounds changed to smaller in 1954, the WB from 1943-46 was used again. The WB from 1943-46 was also used in Bugs Bunny cartoons from 1945-49.
